You climb
His individualism and competitiveness have no limits. They are always attentive to take ownership of the merits of others in the eyes of their superiors.
They never let a good opportunity pass by, even if they have to trample on their colleagues, who tend to report their mistakes and weaknesses to give the bosses the feeling that they are much better than the others.
Their ability to always be by the side of whoever is most convenient for them is very high, and they are always there for what the boss needs, without any kind of consideration towards who they may harm for it. In short, they are masters when it comes to blaming others and getting the most out of other people's mistakes.
Gossip
They are in charge of spreading rumors about the personal lives of others. Although they do not have too many details about what they say, they usually fill in the gaps with invented information. When they get some gossip about others, they run to tell it to the first person in front of them almost impulsively.
In the long run, they end up helping to generate different factions within the company, in order to feel supported when criticizing the colleagues of the other “group”. The work environment they generate is tremendously negative for the general operation of the company, since it generates a climate of mutual distrust that is very harmful.
Victimists
"In Spain we complain more than we do", is often heard. And it is that according to labor psychology insists, there are true professionals of victimhood. Surely we have all fallen into these attitudes at some time. Everything that surrounds us is negative, everything moves against us, and it turns out that we have absolutely no responsibility for what is happening, we are innocent. However, what truly distinguishes the victimizer is that he never does anything to change reality and limits himself to seeking others to empathize with him for the cross they have had to carry.
Chronic pissed off
If day after day you come across a co-worker who doesn't greet you back, then be clear that you are facing a chronically pissed off person. They stand out for not maintaining relationships with others, giving the feeling of being very busy from the first moment they step foot in the office, never offering a smile, and boasting of their bad ways.
Less common than victimizers, but equally present in all kinds of companies, these co-workers stop being toxic to others when we resign ourselves to assuming that their negative attitude is inherent to their way of being. In this way, we can relativize their bad mood and create a smoke screen so that they do not negatively infect the work environment.
Listless
They never sleep well, they always have headaches, and what's worse, they always feel annoyed when their help is required, no matter if it's the boss or their coworkers. His state of mind is a constant between suffering from the lack of desire to face daily work and coldness. Reluctance is one of the most contagious attitudes and one that can become a pernicious brake on group work. At the end of the day, the unwilling tend to prioritize their own interests over those of the rest of the group or the company in general.
Handlers
They are usually the most intelligent, as well as dangerous. Machiavelli's The Prince is his bedside book and his ability to deceive others for his own benefit, always using half-truths, knows no limits. Other coworkers are just a means to achieve your particular goals. They lack scruples and in order to get promoted they do not hesitate to betray anyone. They are experts in the art of seduction and oratory is their forte. Faced with this type of co-workers, all we have to do is detect their presence, try to get to know them better and better and practice our skills so as not to be influenced.
Critics
They are a classic in any type of company. No matter the issue being debated or the arguments used, they will always be there to criticize and exaggerate the negative part of everything, also believing that they own the absolute truth. They stand out for being eternally dissatisfied, nothing works for them or makes them happy, which is why they tend to lower the optimism and positivism of those around them.
One of his maxims is to bring out the defects of others, although generally when they are not present. A smear strategy for peers that, according to psychologists, they actually use to camouflage their lack of confidence in themselves and in the task they are performing.
